The Robbie Susan Moore Foundation for Education, Inc. was
established as a public charitable foundation in 2009. It is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide financial assistance to economically disadvantaged students seeking education beyond high school.
Robbie Susan Moore was an outstanding community activist with a long history of community involvement and service starting in 1964. She organized several Concerned Citizens Advocacy Groups to promote voter registration, education and the social advancement for youth and women.
She served on the boards of several organizations advocating Charity, Education, Housing, Civil Rights and Scholastic Achievement. She was the cofounder of the United Ebony Society of Gwinnett County and was instrumental in getting all cities in Gwinnett County to recognize Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as a Holiday.
Robbie won numerous awards for her service, including the Black History Pacesetter's Award, the Outstanding Service Award, the MLK Keeping the Dream Alive Award and was honored as one of Gwinnett's Exceptional Women Leaders. She was named "Woman of Courage" by the National Association of University Women and “Outstanding Georgia Citizen" by the Secretary of the State of Georgia.
She was given a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Community Service by the Gwinnett County Public School System and was dedicated to her family, church and community. Her drive and determination to make Gwinnett the best county it could be brought her honor and respect by everyone in her community.
